Ligonier Farmgirl Chapter?
I really really would love to start a farmgirl chapter in town. You wouldn't have to be young or old or anything at all but a farmgirl at heart! I think our society has lost the common female bond that our grandmothers or mothers had. The women would mostly be home with the kids taking care of the house and would gather with the other women to have coffee, gossip a lil, plan how to take care of others in need, and just gather together. I really wish that we had that now. I know I have some girl friends that I can rely on to call and confide in, but most everyone is busy with their own life. I always want to make time to listen to friends with problems. I would love to discuss recipes, housekeeping the natural way (no chemicals), crafts, and just anything else. I love the farmgirl simplicity. Finding happiness in the little things like food, friends, aprons, animal, kind words, and passion.
The apron image that I borrowed is one from the lovely Elah from MJF forums. Visit her etsy http://auntieemshouse.etsy.com
